Dina Titus, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st District, has actively engaged in legislative efforts, highlighted by her recent social media announcements.

On April 9, 2025, Titus shared that her Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act was favorably reported out of committee and is progressing towards a House floor vote. This legislation is designed to enhance environmental conservation and safeguard water security in Nevada, carrying bipartisan support.

In another tweet on the same day, she announced progress on her bipartisan bill known as the DHS Special Events Program and Support Act. This bill, co-introduced with Representative Rich Hudson, aims to streamline the Department of Homeland Security's security support for major sports and entertainment events. It has successfully advanced through committee review and is similarly advancing to a House vote.

On April 10, 2025, Titus expressed concern over a budget resolution passed by the House GOP. She stated that the resolution negatively impacts numerous Americans by cutting Medicaid benefits, threatening SNAP assistance, and compromising access to higher education. Titus argues that these tax cuts would favor the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

Titus, born in Thomasville, Georgia, in 1950, has been representing Nevada’s 1st District since 2013 after succeeding Shelley Berkley. Before her Congressional service, she served in the Nevada Senate for two decades. Titus, an alumna of the College of William & Mary, resides in Las Vegas.
