Dina Titus, a long-serving representative from Nevada's 1st district, has recently addressed a variety of legislative and environmental issues via social media. Representing the district since 2013, Titus has focused on enhancing retail protection, sustaining environmental policies, and critiquing fiscal decisions made by the current administration.

On April 10, 2025, Dina Titus tweeted that she had introduced the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act. Titus stated that the proposed legislation aims to shield shops and retailers by tackling flash mob robberies and complex retail theft schemes.

Later the same day, April 10, 2025, Titus criticized President Trump's environmental policies. She tweeted that the decision to cut environmental protections for more than half of the national forests could hinder progress on conservation and combating climate change. Titus argued that, instead, Trump should rely on scientific advice and avoid benefiting logging companies' interests (source).

Additionally, on April 10, 2025, Titus raised concerns about economic priorities, particularly addressing how President Trump’s policies purportedly favor tax cuts for wealthy allies while potentially threatening programs like Social Security. Titus highlighted a recent reduction of 7,000 employees from the Social Security Administration as a significant concern (source).

Dina Titus, born in Thomasville, Georgia, and currently residing in Las Vegas, has served in the U.S. Congress since succeeding Shelley Berkley in 2013. Before her congressional tenure, she served in the Nevada Senate for two decades. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary, awarded in 1970.
