Clark City recently issued the following announcement.

Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft is hosting a free “Curbside Care” event with community partners at Clark County Fire Station 38 on Friday, Sept. 10, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Car seat checks, medication disposal, electronics recycling, and free COVID-19 and flu shots will be available. Vehicles should enter the event at Serene and Tamarus.

“I am pleased to bring the next Curbside Care to Silverado Ranch,” said Commissioner Naft, whose Commission District A in the southeast Las Vegas Valley includes Station 38. “Thanks to the Clark County Fire Department and other community partners we are able to offer these free services to residents from the comfort of their car. This is a great opportunity to get your shots and to safely dispose of expired medications and old computers, phones and other electronics. We also encourage parents with young children to stop to get your car seats adjusted.”

Free COVID-19 and flu shots will be available while supplies last. The Pfizer vaccine, requiring an initial two doses, and Johnson’s Janssen single-dose shot will be available. Old prescription and over-the-counter medications can be disposed of at the event, but needles, powders and liquids won’t be accepted.
