Dina Titus, a member of the U.S. Congress since 2013 representing Nevada's 1st district, recently took to social media to voice her concerns on several issues. Her comments come in the wake of policy measures purportedly affecting national and global stability, cultural celebrations, and immigrant rights.

On April 14, 2025, Titus criticized former President Donald Trump, alleging that he is "hell-bent on sabotaging U.S. national security". She accused his administration of "slashing State Department programs, gutting humanitarian aid, and zeroing out NATO funding," asserting that these actions are placing global stability at risk.

In another post on the same day, Titus extended her "Happy #Vaisakhi" wishes to Sikhs, focusing on those in her district, Nevada’s 1st, and across the country. She expressed her hopes that the festivities would bring joy and good fortune to celebrants.

Later that day, Titus addressed policy changes made by the Social Security Administration. Condemning these actions, she wrote, "I strongly condemn @SocialSecurity’s attack on immigrants legally working in the United States." She criticized the removal of immigrants' Social Security numbers, stating that it poses hurdles for them in finding employment.

Congresswoman Titus, aged 72, has a long-standing political career beginning in the Nevada Senate, where she served from 1988 to 2008, before moving to her current role. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia, and is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, class of 1970. She now resides in Las Vegas.
