Dina Titus, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada's 1st district, shared a series of tweets on April 15, 2025, addressing various issues ranging from federal funding of educational institutions to social security concerns.

On April 15, 2025, Titus expressed concern over the decision by former President Donald Trump to freeze funding for schools. Titus criticized this decision, stating that "Trump is freezing funding for schools just because he disagrees with them. As a result, @POTUS is hurting critical research programs, causing jobs cuts, and diminishing many students’ experiences."

Later that same day, Titus offered her condolences to the family and friends of Elaine Wynn, noting her significant influence in Las Vegas. She lauded Wynn's philanthropic efforts, stating in a tweet, "My thoughts are with the family and friends of the late Elaine Wynn. Her impact on Las Vegas was profound. As an instrumental philanthropist, she encouraged the evolution of culture in the city. She will be remembered for her dedication to our arts community."

In another tweet that day, Titus joined her Democratic colleagues in a #SaveSocialSecurityDayofAction, voicing concerns about data security related to Social Security. She raised issues about sensitive data access and highlighted the number of Social Security recipients in her district. Titus mentioned, "I am joining my Democratic colleagues in Congress today to recognize this #SaveSocialSecurityDayofAction. @POTUS and @ElonMusk have access to extremely sensitive data, including your Social Security numbers. There are 144,189 Social Security recipients #OnlyinDistrictOne who are."

Dina Titus has represented Nevada's 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2013, having previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia, in 1950 and currently resides in Las Vegas.
