In Las Vegas, the city administration is focused on ensuring that playgrounds are inclusive and accessible to children of all abilities. The city's parks now feature various adaptive elements such as sensory walls, molded bucket swings, and interactive play zones to accommodate children with diverse needs. This initiative aims to foster inclusivity and ensure that outdoor spaces provide enjoyable experiences for everyone.

The city's Adaptive Recreation program offers a range of activities and support, promoting social interaction, skill development, and physical activity for individuals with different abilities. The staff is committed to advocacy and inclusion, assisting individuals in participating fully in community offerings.

Adaptive features are available in numerous parks throughout Las Vegas. Highlights include Mountain Ridge Park with molded bucket safety swings and an Omni Spinner, and Centennial Hills Park featuring a sensory play wall. Other parks, such as the Gary Reese Freedom Park and Gilcrease Brothers Park, provide sensory walls and Gaga ball pits. The Ernest & Betty Becker Family Technology and Recreation Park offers a ground-level, interactive play interface.

Additional parks with adaptive features include Bruce Trent Park and Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, among others. These parks are equipped with sensory play walls, musical instruments, and ramp-accessible playgrounds for ages 5-12. The efforts to enhance inclusivity in public spaces across Las Vegas are part of creating a more connected community.
