Ccsd Invites Parents to Family Academy Workshops
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Family Engagement Department invites parents/guardians to attend free engaging workshops that connect them with resources and tools that support student academic success.
This event is an expansion of CCSD’s Super Saturdays. Participants can choose between sessions for adults or sessions for families learning together.
The Family Academy will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, from 8 a.m. to noon at Cimarron-Memorial High School located at 2301 N. Tenaya Way. A light breakfast will be served.
Families interested in attending are asked to register for the event by Friday, Feb., 17, 2023 by calling (702) 799-0303. Spanish translation services will be provided at the event.
The Family Academy is an opportunity for parents/guardians, children and families to gain valuable strategies, educational resources and other important information to support learning at home. The event is focused on meeting the needs of families to support student success. Each session has a different academic focus including literacy, math, science and writing.
Participants choosing adult-focused workshops may check their students into the supervised Child Activity Room. Students in the Child Activity Room must be enrolled in CCSD PreK-12.
