Residents living in District 3 can take advantage of permitting, code enforcement and voice concerns in the community as the City of Las Vegas plans to visit the area in early June, according to a news release shared by the Las Vegas government.

“One of my priorities since being elected to represent the families of Ward 3 is to make it easier to do business with the city,” Ward 3 Councilwoman Olivia Diaz said in the news release. “It’s important to bring services directly to our neighborhood and have bilingual city staff on hand so we can educate and empower our residents to better understand city processes. I believe these practices will keep our communities vibrant.”

According to the release, the city will station a trailer near the intersection of Bonanza Road and Maryland Parkway in the Chicanos Por La Causa parking lot at 555 N. Maryland Parkway on Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 16. Residents seeking to learn about the city’s Safe Home Improvement, Financing and Training Program are encouraged to attend with city officials available to give media interviews in English and Spanish from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on June 6.

Residents will be able to learn about landscaping bulk dumpsters, permitting assistance, valuations to help bring their property up to code compliance and applying for financial aid to alleviate safety issues, according to the city.
