The city of Las Vegas is offering a variety of holiday events this season, catering to different age groups and interests. The festivities include family activities, senior luncheons, and cultural celebrations, providing entertainment for residents and visitors alike.
Among the events is the Family Fun Night at Mirabelli Community Center on November 15, where participants can create Thanksgiving crafts. "Make a Thanksgiving turkey craft and homemade mini pie!" says the event description. Another notable event is the Ninja Turkey Trot and Swim at Pavilion Center Pool on November 16, featuring a race that combines running, swimming, and an obstacle course.
For those interested in crafts, Lieburn Senior Center offers a Quilted Holiday Ornaments Workshop on November 20. "Make beautiful quilted ornaments for your tree or as gifts," states the workshop's details.
Thanksgiving luncheons are planned at various centers, including Doolittle Active Adult Center on November 21 and Lieburn Active Adult Center on November 22. These gatherings promise traditional meals with all the trimmings.

In December, the Tamales & Mariachi Festival takes place at Historic Fifth Street School on December 7. This free event includes performances by Grammy Award-winning mariachi bands such as Mariachi Los Camperos. "Headlining the festival entertainment are three different internationally renowned mariachi bands," according to organizers.
Other highlights include the Annual Adaptive Recreation Holiday Dinner & Dance at Lieburn Senior Center on December 7 and Ward 6 Equestrian Posadas Christmas Festival on December 8.
