Palo Verde High School issued the following announcement.

Class of 2021,

We are excited to celebrate your accomplishments at graduation on June 2 at 4pm and 8pm!

**If you did not come to senior check out/distribution, please come to the main office between 8:00am-2:00pm on 5/27 and 5/28 to be cleared for fines, grades, and to pick up your senior items.

Ceremonies will be livestreamed at the following address: https://ccsdgraduations.eduvision.tv/LiveEvents

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY.

Per CCSD guidelines, ALL graduates and guests are required to wear masks.

Graduates need to arrive to the MGM one hour before the start time of their assigned ceremony. For security purposes, graduates need to CARRY their cap and gown into the MGM for check in. Once they have checked in, they will be able to put on their cap and gown. Graduates, when you arrive to the MGM (See attached map for all drop off/pick up and parking information), please look for the alpha signs to indicate where you check in based on your last name. You will receive your card that includes your first and last name and a number. You will then proceed to either the ODD tunnel (1, 3, 5, 7, 9…) or the EVEN tunnel (2, 4, 6, 8, 10…..) based on the number on your card to line up. We will have several staff members assisting you. As you enter the arena, please be sure that your tassel is hanging on the right side of your cap.

You will also receive your diploma at this time. Inside your envelope, you will find a plastic protector sheet – you will use this when you put your diploma into your diploma cover. You may also have stickers in your envelope based on the type of diploma you have earned.

Ushers will be directing you to sit, stand, walk up to the stage, etc. Any misbehaviors will result in removal from the ceremony.

We ask that our graduates remember that this will be a formal and dignified event. Please review the following rules and guidelines:

1.We ask that you dress for the occasion. Prohibited clothing includes jeans, shorts, sweat pants, t-shirts, athletic shoes, and flip-flops.

2. You may only wear cords, medals, or awards issued by the school on the outside of your gown. Lei’s or similar items are not allowed to be worn during your ceremony and will be confiscated.

3. Do not bring anything with you as there is nowhere to store your items.

4. You are not allowed to decorate your cap. If you decorate your cap, you will not be allowed to walk in the ceremony.

No bags are permitted for guests except for small purses (12x12x6” is maximum size allowed). No balloons, air horns, or noisemakers are allowed and will be confiscated at entry.

ALL GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A TICKET FOR ENTRY.
