Clark County School District: 54.2% of students failed their English CCR tests during 2022-23 school year

Of the 22,111 Clark County School District students who took part in the College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCR) in the 2022-23 school year, 54.2% did not meet English benchmarks, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

This is relatively on pair with the statewide average of 54.1%.

Clark County School District roughly covers schools within Clark County and has a main office in Las Vegas.

The number of students who failed to meet expectations in the subject fell by 3.6% the previous school year.

In Clark County School District, most of the students who fell below proficiency were at the second lowest performance level.

Throughout the district, Chaparral High School had the highest percentage of students scoring below English benchmarks on their CCR test.

In Nevada, the ACT serves as the College and Career Readiness assessment for high school juniors, evaluating whether they are on track for higher education.

Nevada's educational system ranked third-lowest in the U.S. for educational quality, student outcomes, and overall school safety, only ahead of Louisiana and Arizona, according to an analysis from the World Population Review.
