CRT Science: How many Clark County School District students failed during 2023-24 school year?

Of the 25,196 Clark County School District students who took part in the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT) in the 2023-24 school year, 80.4% did not meet science benchmarks, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

This is 0.6% above the statewide average of 79.8%.

Clark County School District roughly covers schools within Clark County and has a main office in Las Vegas.

The number of students who failed to meet expectations in the subject fell by 4.2% the previous school year.

In Clark County School District, most of the students who fell below proficiency were at the lowest performance level.

Throughout the district, Legacy High School had the highest percentage of students scoring below science benchmarks on their CRT.

Criterion-Referenced Tests (CRTs) are used to evaluate students' proficiency in science, measuring their performance against state academic standards.

Nevada's educational system ranked third-lowest in the U.S. for educational quality, student outcomes, and overall school safety, only ahead of Louisiana and Arizona, according to an analysis from the World Population Review.
