Dina Titus, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, has taken to social media to address several issues. Titus, who has a long history in public service, highlighted her legislative efforts and advocacy on March 5, 2025.
On this date, Dina Titus emphasized the need for changes in tax legislation concerning U.S. citizens held hostage abroad. She stated: "U.S. citizens held hostage abroad should not be welcomed home with penalties for late tax payments." She is advocating for the Stop Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act to amend what she perceives as a flaw in the current tax code.
Later that day, Titus expressed satisfaction over halting a controversial program by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). In her tweet, she mentioned: "Proud to have helped put a stop to @BLMNational's program which incentivized individuals to adopt and then slaughter wild horses for profit."
Additionally, Dina Titus showed her support for federal workers during a rally organized by NTEUnews. Her post read: "Fired federal workers include @NatlParkService rangers, @NIH scientists, and @DeptVetAffairs employees serving our veterans. I joined @NTEUnews workers rallying in support of our dedicated public servants. Rain or shine, we will keep fighting."
