Dina Titus comments on Clark County FD leadership and educational initiatives

Dina Titus, a U.S. Congress member representing Nevada's 1st district, has recently shared several updates on social media. Titus has been serving in Congress since 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008.

On February 21, 2025, Titus extended her congratulations to Billy Samuels on his new appointment as fire chief of Clark County Fire Department. She expressed her anticipation for continued collaboration to ensure community safety. "Congratulations to Billy Samuels, @ClarkCountyFD’s new fire chief. I look forward to continuing to work together to keep our community safe."

The following day, February 22, Titus visited Mr. Miranda’s class at Cw Woodbury Middle School as part of SIFMA’s Capitol Hill Challenge. During this visit, she discussed the importance of financial literacy skills and reaffirmed her commitment to defending public education for student success. "It was great to visit Mr. Miranda’s class @CwWoodburyMS for @SIFMA’s Capitol Hill Challenge to discuss the importance of financial literacy skills."

Later that day, Titus commented on former President Trump's decision to remove the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other senior military officials from their positions. She criticized this action as unjustified and emphasized that U.S. service members pledge allegiance to the Constitution rather than any individual president. "Trump has unjustifiably ousted the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff..."
