Dina Titus, a U.S. Congress member representing Nevada’s 1st district, has recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. Her tweets highlight concerns about economic challenges faced by working families and the need for reform in the cannabis industry, while also criticizing prominent figures for spreading misinformation.
On February 9, 2025, Titus commented on the rising home sales prices in Las Vegas. She stated that "Las Vegas home sales prices were the highest ever recorded in January. While working families struggle to keep up with the cost of living, Trump and Musk are focused on banning paper straws and attacking our federal workforce."
The following day, February 10, she tweeted about marijuana sales in Nevada. Titus highlighted that "30% of marijuana sales in NV are with illegal operators." As a Cannabis Caucus Co-Chair, she emphasized her commitment to advocating for reforms such as the SAFE Banking Act to enhance competitiveness among legal cannabis businesses.
Later on February 10, Titus addressed allegations involving Donald Trump and Elon Musk concerning USAID. She accused them of disseminating false conspiracy theories linked to Russian propaganda. Titus asserted that "the truth: Foreign aid is <1% of the U.S. budget and is essential to supporting democracy and our national security."
