Dina Titus, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nevada's 1st district, has recently addressed several pressing issues through her social media platform. Titus, who has been serving in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Shelley Berkley, is known for her advocacy on various policy matters.

On February 6, 2025, Titus expressed concern over reports of National Institutes of Health (NIH) programs overseas violating animal welfare standards. She stated that the legislation she reintroduced aims to halt such cruelty and prevent taxpayer dollars from funding animal abuse. "There have been too many reports of @NIH programs overseas violating animal welfare standards. The legislation I reintroduced today puts a stop to this cruelty and prevents our taxpayer dollars from funding animal abuse."

Later that day, Titus announced her support for the Taxpayer Data Protection Act, emphasizing the need to safeguard private information from what she described as "unelected and unaccountable" individuals like Elon Musk and his associates. "I am supporting the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to keep your private information safe from unelected and unaccountable Elon Musk and his minions."

On February 7, 2025, Titus highlighted the alarming number of heat-related deaths in Clark County, Nevada in 2024, which had reached 526 with numbers still being finalized by the coroner's office. She called for extreme heat to be recognized as a natural disaster to ensure communities receive necessary support for public safety. "The total number of heat-related deaths in @ClarkCountyNV in 2024 is up to 526, and the coroner's office is not done tallying. Extreme heat should be recognized as the natural disaster it is, so our communities receive the support they need to keep people safe.…"
