Dina Titus, a U.S. Congress member representing Nevada's 1st district, recently expressed her concerns through a series of tweets. Titus, who has served in Congress since 2013 and previously in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008, shared her views on various topics including Social Security and health equity programs.

On February 7, 2025, Titus tweeted about Elon Musk's involvement with Social Security. She stated: "Elon Musk and his gang have set their sights on @SocialSecurity. We will use every tool at our disposal to protect your hard-earned benefits." This indicates her commitment to safeguarding these benefits against perceived threats.

Later that day, she posted another tweet addressing the influence of Elon Musk in government matters. Titus commented: "Donald Trump turned the presidency over to Elon Musk, and now an unelected billionaire is coming for the government programs and services Nevadans depend on." Her statement suggests concern over the impact of private individuals on public governance.

In recognition of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on February 7, 2025, Titus highlighted health issues affecting Black communities. She remarked: "Today is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. HIV disproportionately impacts Black communities. We must continue to improve access to prevention, testing, and treatment and fight Trump’s efforts to attack health equity programs." Her focus was on improving healthcare access while criticizing efforts that might undermine health equity.
