Moms for Liberty has endorsed Lydia Dominguez in her race for a seat on the Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees, representing District B. Early voting will take place from October 19 through November 1 for the November 5 general election.

Dominguez is motivated to run by concerns about school safety amid escalating violence, lower educational standards, and a lack of respect and appreciation for parents who want to be involved in their children's education, according to her campaign website.

One of Dominguez's main priorities is improving student literacy rates and academic achievement. She pledges that, as a trustee, she will hold CCSD accountable for academic success and high standards, as well as collaborate with the administration to set both students and staff up for success.

She also emphasizes her commitment to parental rights in education. In addition to working closely with parents to ensure they have a voice in their children's education, she also plans to advocate for parents with regard to safeguarding boys' and girls' sports.

In addition to having both of her children attending school in CCSD, she has also served on the CCSD Attendance Zone Advisory Committee.

Dominguez served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years, and she holds a bachelor's degree in business management from American Military University. In 2020, she wrote "Don't Turn Back," a book that she describes as "a survival guide for women seeking to escape domestic violence."

According to the CCSD Board of Trustees website, the Board comprises seven voting members and four non-voting members. Per the Clark County 2024 election candidates list, in the upcoming general election, there are four four-year voting positions available on the Board. Elections are nonpartisan.

Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
