With the arrival of cooler fall temperatures, Las Vegas is inviting residents and visitors to explore its diverse walking trails and districts. The city boasts over 59 miles of pedestrian and bike paths, offering a variety of experiences for those eager to enjoy the outdoors.
The 18b Las Vegas Arts District is a vibrant area with walkable sidewalks lined with galleries, restaurants, shops, and breweries. Public art installations add to the district's appeal. Visitors can start their exploration at Main Street and Charleston Boulevard.
Symphony Park offers another scenic walking experience with remarkable architecture. Parking is available at City Hall Garage or Promenade Garage. Walkers can admire The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Frank Gehry-designed Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health before heading to the nearby Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.
Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs provides trails accessible from Durango Drive and Brent Lane or Racel Street east of Durango Drive. The park features wildlife, natural scenery, and historic buildings located at 9200 Tule Springs Road.
The Fremont Street Experience offers an iconic walk starting from City Hall parking garage at 495 S. Main St., leading north on Main Street to Fremont Street Experience itself. The city's segment of the regional Las Vegas Wash Trail stretches southward along Las Vegas Wash from Owens Avenue to Charleston Boulevard while connecting further north through North Las Vegas towards Clark County Wetlands Park.
Bonanza Trail links Charlie Kellogg & Joe Zaher Sports Complex with Bill Briare Family Park continuing southwards towards Las Vegas Springs Preserve via a six-mile path marked by signage beginning at 7901 W Washington Ave.
Pioneer Trail begins east of Interstate 15 on Las Vegas Boulevard between Bonanza Road and Washington Avenue running through Historic West Las Vegas eventually reaching Las Vegas Springs Preserve on Valley View Drive after zigzagging past historical properties within urban surroundings.
Lastly, Lone Mountain Trail follows Buffalo Drainage Channel between Buffalo Drive & Tenaya Way extending northward from Summerlin Parkway up until Alexander Road incorporating two pedestrian bridges crossing Lake Mead Boulevard & Cheyenne Avenue respectively.
