The Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Tournament will take place from October 25 to 27, marking its 24th year. Initiated in 2000 by Mayor Oscar B. Goodman, the event is co-hosted by the city of Las Vegas and the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club. Roger Tabor, President of the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, stated that this year's tournament is expected to generate approximately $34 million for the local economy.

The tournament will feature 492 teams with players aged 8 to 15 from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Honduras, and twelve U.S. states. This includes 366 boys' teams and 126 girls' teams. Spectators can attend for free throughout the weekend but are advised to bring their own seating due to large expected crowds and limited parking availability.

Games will occur at various locations: Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex on Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and at additional fields including Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex and James Regional Sports Park on Saturday and Sunday. The tournament offers gold and silver levels for both boys' and girls' teams, each guaranteed three games.

Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman expressed her enthusiasm for the event: “The Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Tournament brings world-class competition to our local teams and millions of dollars to our local economy.” She encouraged everyone to welcome young athletes from across North and South America.

Awards will be given on Sunday starting around noon at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex and James Regional Sports Park, with ceremonies concluding around 4:30 p.m. More details about schedules, maps, teams, rules, scores, and standings can be found online at lvmayorscup.com or by following @LVMayorsCup on X (formerly Twitter).
