The New Business Assistance program is set to offer new entrepreneurs, developers, and enterprises essential tools to help them launch their businesses. The program provides financial assistance up to $1,500 for qualified applicants. Grants available through the program include up to $1,500 in computer hardware, $1,000 in software, and up to $500 for business license fees.

Interested applicants can apply from June 3 until 3 p.m. PST on September 4, 2024.

To be eligible for this assistance, businesses must have been approved for a new city of Las Vegas business license with an issued date of January 1, 2023 or later or have a pending application for a city business license. Additionally, businesses must be physically located within the jurisdiction of the city of Las Vegas and serve the area.

Other eligibility criteria require that the business has no more than ten employees and generates less than $250,000 in gross annual revenue. Furthermore, business owners must not have engaged in any illegal activities according to local, state, or federal laws and regulations. Federal laws will take precedence over local or state regulations where applicable. Business owners should also be prepared for potential background checks as part of the suitability assessment process.
