The public safety team in Las Vegas has officially welcomed two new members, Wilbur and Scarlett. These Labrador retrievers are specially trained to assist in various security tasks. Scarlett, who is two years old, will work with the Marshals, while 18-month-old Wilbur will join the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Bomb Squad.

Both dogs and their handlers have completed a rigorous six-week training course, totaling 240 hours. This training allowed them to familiarize themselves with each other and practice essential techniques for field operations.

"Wilbur is the very first canine to join Las Vegas Fire & Rescue," highlighting his unique role within the team. The skills acquired by both dogs include security checks, handling special events, and conducting investigations aimed at enhancing public safety.
