Las Vegas announces extensive summer pool schedule with special events

The City of Las Vegas has announced its summer pool schedule, offering a variety of activities including swim lessons, competitive aquatics teams for youth, dive-in movies, fitness events, and themed pool parties. According to city regulations, all pool visitors must wear proper swim attire. Children under 48 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

Pools may occasionally close for private events or maintenance. Notably, all pools will be closed on June 1 for staff training.

During Memorial Day weekend, Carlos L. Martinez & Darrio J. Hall Family Pool at Gary Reese Freedom Park and Garside Pool will be open from noon to 4 p.m. each day.

Starting June 3, the summer pool schedule includes:

- Baker Pool: Open June 4-August 11 with specific hours for open swim and lessons.

- Carlos L. Martinez & Darrio J. Hall Family Pool: Open May 25-27 and select dates through September with varied hours.

- Doolittle Pool: Open June 3-August 10 with designated days for open swim and lessons.

- Garside Pool: Open May 27 and throughout the summer with consistent hours.

- Municipal Pool: Closed May 27; summer hours begin May 28 through September.

- Pavilion Center Pool: Closed May 24-26; summer hours start June 3-August 10.

Pool fees are set per age group, with passes available for purchase at city pools and recreation centers.

Special events this summer include a Juneteenth Celebration at Doolittle Pool on June 12, Dive In Movie Nights at Pavilion Center Pool on select Saturdays, Dash and Splash races also at Pavilion Center Pool in July and August, SPLASHTASTIC Inflatable FUN! sessions on various Saturdays at Pavilion Center Pool, Junior Lifeguard Camps throughout the summer weeks at Pavilion Center Pool, Dear Ol’ Dad’s Day on Father’s Day across several pools, Yankee Doodle celebrations around Independence Day at Baker and Garside Pools, Another Hot Tropical Night event on July 14 at Pavilion Center Pool featuring live music and entertainment, Floatie Fridays allowing personal inflatables on specified dates at Doolittle and Garside Pools, Summer Splash Bash on July 27 at Garside Pool to mark the end of summer festivities with music and games.

The All-City Synchronized Swimming and Diving Show is scheduled for August 10 at Pavilion Center Pool.
