Clark County Education: 48,190 Black students were enrolled in district in 2022-23 school year

There were 48,190 Black students enrolled in Clark County district in the 2022-23 school year, 1.4% less than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Data showed that Clark County welcomed a total of 304,276 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 15.8% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the county.

Clark County School District was the only district in the county which enrolled Black students in the 2022-23 school year.

Enrollment in Nevada has experienced a notable decline, falling nearly 2% over the last four years.

Meanwhile, Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
