On July 1, 2024, Las Vegas Weekly announced the winners of its annual Best of Las Vegas awards. The publication recognized a diverse range of talent, entertainment, and culinary excellence within the city limits.

In the Arts and Entertainment category, Commonwealth at 525 E Fremont St was named Best Downtown Nightlife spot. The Mob Museum at 300 Stewart Ave won Best Museum. Omega Mart at Area 15 received the award for Best Art Explosion. Wiseguys' Arts District location was honored as Best Comedy Open Mic venue.
"On the Corner of Main Street," recorded at the Plaza by CEO Jonathan Jossel and co-host Gary Vickery, won Best Vegas Podcast. Fat Cat at 206 N 3rd St was recognized as Best New Jazz Joint. Cauldron Noir took home the title for Best Burlesque Show. Abandon Marquis de Sade at 1025 S 1st St #110 won Best Theater Shock.
The Usual Place at 100 S Maryland Parkway #110 was named Best Place to Catch a Local Band. The Beverly Theater at 515 S 6th St received recognition as Best Movie Theater. The Writer’s Block at 519 S 6th St Ste 100 was awarded Best Bookstore. Sahara West Library at 9600 W Sahara Ave earned accolades for being the Best Library for Art Exploration.
In Food & Drink, Freed’s Bakery (multiple locations) was named Best Bakery with its DTLV location at 60 E California Ave noted specifically. SoulBelly BBQ at 1327 S Main St won Best Barbeque, while Nevada Brew Works took home the award for Best Brewery.
Garagiste Wine Room & Merchant located at 197 E California Ave #140 was honored as Best Wine Bar. Tacos El Gordo (multiple locations) won in the category of Best Taco with its location at 1724 E Charleston Blvd highlighted.
Yu-Or-Mi Sushi Bar at 100 E California Ave was recognized as Best Sushi place. Capriotti’s (multiple locations) received accolades for having the best sandwiches within city limits including notable locations such as 322 W Sahara Ave and others.
Pizza Rock located at 201 N 3rd St won for best pizza. James Trees, owner of several restaurants in Las Vegas Valley including Ada’s Food + Wine and Esther’s Kitchen among others, was named Best Local Chef.
Oscar’s Steakhouse in The Plaza Hotel received recognition for Fine Dining Excellence while Pinkbox Doughnuts (multiple locations) were awarded best doughnuts accolade.
Grouchy John’s Coffeehouse located at 6720 Sky Pointe Dr Ste B took home the award for best coffeehouse.
In Nightlife categories, Area15 located at Area15 -3215 S Rancho Dr #100- was awarded best place to dance while The Phoenix situated on W Sahara Avenue won best LGBTQ+ bar honorifics . Hard Hat Lounge took away best karaoke night accolade .
Other notable mentions include Carousel Bar inside Plaza Hotel which grabbed title spot under Social Media Shot Category; Goodwill Thrift Stores multiple outlets topped list under Thrift Shop classification ; Sinister Salon housed within South Main Street bagged award under salon sector; Project Enchilada led City Of Las Vegas’ project aimed towards revitalizing downtown claimed victory under restoration project segment ; Charleston Antique Mall acknowledged as finest vintage gold digging site ; Triple Down bar hosted inside Punk Rock Museum stood tall winning museum bar classification .
EōS Fitness multiple facilities triumphed securing top gym position , whereas stitched formal attire shop placed on Rampart Boulevard Suite#155 clinched formal attire section ; Circa Resort&Casino triumphantly emerged victorious being crowned top downtown casino while Brad's Toys&Collectibles outlets were applauded winning collectibles shop division respectively .
