Thousands of job seekers will meet face-to-face with more than 100 employers at the annual Spring Job Fair on Friday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall. Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson and Commissioner Tick Segerblom are hosting the free event designed to connect companies to new employees, in partnership with the EmployNV Business Hub. Job seekers can pre-register at https://bit.ly/2023SpringJobFair to receive VIP access to the Spring Job Fair. By pre-registering, job seekers will receive QR codes that can be scanned at the event for quicker check-in and be the first to know about available job positions, where to find no-cost resume and employment help, and other important information.
Employers participating in the Spring Job Fair represent a variety of industries and include MSG Sphere, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Allegiant Stadium, Resorts World, MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, UPS, ProCaps Laboratories, Clark County, The Boring Company, Optum, Sunshine Minting, Barclays, NPL Construction, FedEx, and Spector and Co.
“Employers are looking for great employees, and members of our community are looking for great places to work,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson. “This year’s party-themed Spring Job Fair provides a convenient and easy way to make that connection and keep Southern Nevada moving forward.”
Employers specifically requested more space for onsite interviews at this year’s Spring Job Fair. Multiple companies are expected to hire on the spot. To further increase the one-on-one time between employers and job seekers, the Spring Job Fair will debut a “Virtual After Party” the following week where employers can offer select candidates follow-up interviews using a free, easy-to-use virtual platform.
“By adding more interview areas at the Spring Job Fair and a convenient way to carry on conversations after the event itself, we hope to increase the numbers of successful hires,” said Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom.
Job seekers should treat this opportunity as an interview, dress for success, and bring multiple copies of their resume. Quick resume reviews and no-cost employment help will be available at the Spring Job Fair. However, job seekers are urged to “pre-party” by visiting an EmployNV Career Hub before the event to avoid waiting in line for those services. Parking for the Spring Job Fair is free in adjacent lots, and the underground Vegas Loop at the Convention Center will be open for attendees to use at no cost. Job seekers should enter the job fair through the West Hall entrance toward the south side of the building. The Southern Nevada Health District will also offer free flu shots and COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters onsite.
