Clark County recently issued the following announcement.
A road closure on Rainbow Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Mountains Edge Parkway will be in place through Sunday, Aug. 8, to facilitate work on the railroad tracks and crossing at the nearby Union Pacific Railroad spur.
The closure will be in place 24 hours a day to accommodate the work.
Drivers are advised to follow the detour set up on Buffalo Drive between Blue Diamond Road and Mountains Edge Parkway. Motorists also can use Mountains Edge Parkway if going west and Cactus Avenue if going east.
This work is being done as part of the current Rainbow widening project from Gary to Landberg avenues.
