Dina Titus, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Nevada's 1st district, has shared her views on various pressing issues through recent social media posts. Titus, who succeeded Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008, continues to engage with her constituents on matters of national and international concern.
On March 3, 2025, Dina Titus expressed concerns about conservation efforts on World Wildlife Day. She highlighted the negative impact of policy decisions by Donald Trump and Elon Musk on environmental programs and ecosystems. In her post, she stated: "This World Wildlife Day, we must continue to fight Trump’s and Musk’s attacks on conservation efforts. By cutting essential staff and environmental programs, they are threatening the ecosystems and biodiversity of areas like @lakemeadnps."
Later that day, Titus warned about potential public health crises resulting from inadequate aid delivery. She noted significant risks such as increased cases of drug-resistant tuberculosis, bird flu, mpox in the United States, and additional malaria deaths annually. Her message was clear: "The potential consequences of not delivering lifesaving aid include a 30% increase in drug-resistant tuberculosis, millions more bird flu and mpox cases in the US, and thousands of additional malaria deaths each year."
In another post on March 3rd, Titus commented on foreign policy strategy alignment with authoritarian regimes. She urged for awareness and reflection by stating: "When our foreign policy strategy aligns with an imperialistic, authoritarian regime, that should be a wake-up call."
