Dina Titus, a U.S. Congress member representing Nevada's 1st district since 2013, has recently expressed her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Her comments reflect her support for labor rights, gun safety legislation, and disaster response strategies.
On January 22, 2025, Titus congratulated the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 for securing a new contract with Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. She stated, "Congratulations to @Culinary226 on securing a new contract with @VirginHotelsLV. I’m proud to have stood with the workers in their fight for fair wages. #OneJobShouldBeEnough".
The following day, January 23, she highlighted National Gun Violence Survivors Week by acknowledging the resilience of survivors and her commitment to gun safety legislation. She tweeted, "During National Gun Violence Survivors Week, we honor the resilience of those living with the trauma of gun violence. I’m proud to be working alongside many of these survivors to pass gun safety legislation."
Later that same day, Titus criticized former President Trump's suggestion regarding FEMA's role in disaster response. She remarked that eliminating FEMA’s on-the-ground support would hinder recovery efforts after natural disasters: "Eliminating @FEMA’s on-the-ground support, as Trump suggested, would slow our response to natural disasters and make it harder for families and businesses to rebuild."
