More than 35 acres near AREA15 in Las Vegas will be designated as the Vegas Immersive District, a new entertainment district. This development will feature various attractions including 100,000 square feet of horror-themed immersive entertainment, 418,000 square feet of retail space, 320,000 square feet of office space, 200 hotel rooms, and 585 multi-family housing units.
The district is projected to attract 3.5 million visitors annually with an estimated $796 million in on-site spending each year. The initiative is expected to create approximately 4,086 jobs. Additionally, up to $15.8 million annually in eligible sales tax revenues from this district will be redirected to the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) until at least 2037. These funds will support further business developments in the area.
The RDA was established in 1986 with the aim of revitalizing downtown Las Vegas and surrounding commercial districts. It collaborates with developers, property owners, and the community to recruit businesses, generate employment opportunities, eliminate blight, and diversify the local economy.
