All of Vegas is abuzz with the opening of Vic’s Las Vegas, the chic 8,560-square-foot jazz club and Italian restaurant named after downtown’s iconic neon cowboy.
Located adjacent to The Smith Center for Performing Arts in Symphony Park, Vic’s is quickly becoming the go-to hub for jazz-lovers by presenting performances from a host of renowned jazz artists and musicians from the Las Vegas Academy’s acclaimed jazz studies program.
Earning kudos for its attention to acoustical details, Vic’s sound-dampening touches are artfully concealed and masterful. Among the numerous features are a gently sloped glass wall that separates the main room from the bar area and lightly padded table-tops, to mitigate noise allowing patrons to fully enjoy the music.
A place for a meal or just cocktails before or after a show at The Smith Center, Vic’s offers a spacious, warm, wood-paneled mid-century modern main dining room anchored by a low stage and live music room, a glass enclosed bar, two outdoor patios and a separate gaming bar with an adjacent lounge.
Owned and operated by Chris Lowden, CEO of Porchlight Hospitality, Vic’s Las Vegas is open for lunch and dinner, offering a dining experience that incorporates American favorites and essential Italian classic dishes by Chef Miguel Magana. The evening menu features such tastes of Italy delights as Veal Milanese and Porchetta Pomodoro.
The nostalgic, yet very comfortably familiar, feel of Vic’s is by design and based on a true knowledge of Las Vegas in the last century. Vic’s pays homage to the Lowden family legacy in Las Vegas. Family patriarch Paul Lowden Sr. is the former owner of the Sahara, Santa Fe, Pioneer and Hacienda casinos, in addition to being a renowned musician. Sue Lowden, Paul’s wife, is a former Republican state senator and award-winning anchor at KLAS-TV, Channel 8.
If you’re looking for Vic’s Las Vegas, you can’t miss it. Look for the 20-foot-tall neon replica of 'Vegas Vic' at 355 Promenade Place in Symphony Park.
