A new study has found the Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise metro areas of Nevada are among the top five fastest growing job posting locations in the entire nation over the last two years.
The region placed fourth with an 88.9% change in the seasonally adjusted rate from February 1, 2020, to January 7, 2022, Axios reported.
"We have a lot of work ahead, but we'll continue building on our already strong economic momentum by diversifying our economy, growing and retraining our workforce, and investing in our small businesses," Gov. Steve Sisolak wrote in a Jan. 19 tweet.
The jobs site Indeed found that some metro areas have seen substantially more job growth than other areas as the nation sees an increased need for workers, according to Axios.
The article pointed out that by studying job growth in different cities across the nation, it highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the geography of the job market.
Boise City, Idaho, currently holds the top spot with 94.8% of job growth compared to where it was prior to pandemic-related shutdowns in early 2020. Honolulu, Hawaii, saw the slowest growth with only a 32.9% change in nearly two years, according to Axios.
