St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church issued the following announcement.
Happy Feast Day - July 25, is the Feast Day of St. James the Greater, patron saint of St James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church of Las Vegas NV. St James is the African-American parish for the Diocese of Las Vegas. from Mission in 1933 to Church... in 1942. Fr. Van Skee became the first pastor of St. James Mission Church on the Westside at 820 North H Street and some 75 plus years later still growing strong at its present location 1920 N Martin Luther King Blvd, Las Vegas NV.
Still living the theme 'Building for Gods' Glory' St James continue to grow in faith and spirituality. Continuing Joyfully celebrating God's love every Sunday at 8am and 11am Masses with our current administrator, Rev Binoy Akkalayil Lucka.
