CLARK COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER: The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas was a integral part of this effort

Clark County Clerk And Recorder issued the following announcement on June 11.

When #COVID19 hit shutting down Las #Vegas and putting many out of work - there were a lot of people facing #FoodInsecurity concerns - the inability to feed their families. Recognizing that, #ClarkCounty Commissioners launched an ambitious effort that involved setting up pop-up food pantries all across the area to get food to those in need.

The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas was a integral part of this effort. They helped prepare thousands of boxes of food and staffed the pantries to help deliver the items. Academy staff have worked at dozens of events of the past year.

At their Commission meeting, Commissioners took a few moments to give members some well-deserved recognitions. Great Job!
