Raiders player Dallin Leavitt is calling out the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for allegedly trying to scam him into believing he tested positive for Covid.

The 26-year-old safety posted a video on his Twitter page on Nov. 28 about his recent encounter with DHHS, which called him to allegedly inform him that he tested positive for Covid.

“I want to be clear, I do not have Covid-19, and I get tested every single day for my work,” Leavitt said in the video. “I just got a call from the Nevada Health Department saying that I tested positive for Covid.”

He went on to explain that the department receives every single Covid test result, however, thought it odd that the department would contact him and not his employer, the NFL.

“When I told them I get tested every single day for my work and that they would have known prior...and I told them I work for the Raiders, they began to feel flustered and realized that they got caught in a lie,” he said.

According to Leavitt, the person on the phone with him proceeded to tell him to ignore the call and “act like they never called...to pretend that this never happened,” which troubled Leavitt further.

“To me this is 1,000 [percent] a political stunt,” he said. “And so we're clear, when I called them out for saying it was a lie, they told me, ‘Oh, sorry we made a mistake, you actually didn't test positive. All of your tests are negative.’”

Leavitt said he believes the department is scamming people into believing they have Covid when they do not.

“So for me, I'm beyond frustrated. I can't believe this. I believe this is a stunt to try to shut the country back down,” he said.
