Nevada Treasurer candidate Drew Johnson has said his commitment to working daily to reduce costs and return the savings to taxpayers.
“Only two people in Nevada have the power to single-handedly slash costs,” said Jason Andrew Johnson, Congress Nominee. “I’ve already saved taxpayers BILLIONS exposing waste as America’s top government watchdog. Elect me Treasurer & I’ll fight EVERY DAY to lower costs. Put money back in YOUR pocket.”
Nevada is currently experiencing rising household costs driven by inflation, energy prices, and housing shortages. According to sources, efforts to reduce state spending and improve efficiency have become major campaign issues as voters seek relief from economic pressure.
The state’s 2024–2025 biennial budget amounts to approximately $11.4 billion in general fund spending, reflecting a steady increase tied to population growth and infrastructure needs. Fiscal reform remains a top concern for voters.
The Nevada Treasurer’s Office manages over $7 billion in investments and distributed more than $57 million in unclaimed property in fiscal year 2024, showcasing opportunities for cost-saving oversight.
Johnson is a government watchdog and policy expert recognized for exposing government waste and inefficiency. He founded the Tennessee Center for Policy Research and is running for Congress with the aim of promoting fiscal accountability.
