On Sunday, March 9, former Bonanza High School standout Makai DeSoto’s current college team, the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons, won 16-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds.
The game took place at Roden Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Greyhounds this season.
The Falcons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 3 p.m. at McCord Field against Cameron Aggies.
A man has died after being struck by a motorcycle in an early morning hit-and-run on East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas. Police say they are still searching for information about the motorcyclist involved in what is now considered one of this year’s fatal crashes.
