A pedestrian was killed in a collision involving a truck on East Twain Avenue, east of Royal Crest Street, on March 4, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m., according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Authorities reported that the male pedestrian was walking eastbound in the center shared travel lane of Twain Avenue and attempted to cross from south to north outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. A 2016 Freightliner truck, driven by Johnathen Glinton, age 23, was traveling westbound in the left-most travel lane when the pedestrian stepped into its path. The collision caused the pedestrian to be knocked to the ground.
Emergency Medical Services responded quickly but were unable to save the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that Glinton remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The deceased has been identified as a 58-year-old male from Las Vegas. Notification of next of kin is pending.
This incident marks the 24th traffic-related fatality within Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2026. The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate.
“Emergency Medical Services immediately responded to the collision scene, and despite all life-saving efforts, it was determined he had succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The truck driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.”
