On Sunday, March 23, former Palo Verde High School standout Zach Bender’s current college team, the Loyola Marymount Lions, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the San Diego Toreros.

The game took place at George C. Page Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Toreros this season.

The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Stadium against UCLA Bruins.
