On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Faith Lutheran High School standout Kate Whipple’s current college team, the Colorado Mines Orediggers, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Fort Lewis Skyhawks.
The game took place at Joe Coors, Jr. Softball Field. This was their sixth matchup against the Skyhawks this season.
The Orediggers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at CMU Softball Field against Colorado Mesa Mavericks.
