On Sunday, April 6, former Arbor View High School standout Park Roeder’s current college team, the Coppin State Eagles, won 7-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.
The game took place at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Hawks this season.
The Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at Joe Cannon Stadium against Norfolk State Spartans.
A man has died after being struck by a motorcycle in an early morning hit-and-run on East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas. Police say they are still searching for information about the motorcyclist involved in what is now considered one of this year’s fatal crashes.
