The city of Las Vegas has announced it is seeking proposals for the development of an ice hockey facility in the northwest part of the city. The proposed site covers about five acres of city-owned land at 10257 W. Deer Springs Way, next to the Clark County-215.
Proposals must be submitted by April 15, 2026. Details and requirements for submissions are available in the Request for Proposals document.
Las Vegas has seen increased interest in ice hockey and other major-league sports, particularly since the Vegas Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup in 2023, as noted on the official history page. The city has become a center for professional sports teams, including those with recent championship wins, according to its official history page.
In addition to its growing sports presence, Las Vegas welcomes more than 41 million visitors annually and maintains approximately 130 parks and facilities throughout its area of 142 square miles, as stated on its official website. The city operates under a council-manager form of government with an elected mayor and city council, according to information provided on its government page.
The development of a new ice hockey facility aligns with Las Vegas’s ongoing efforts to expand recreational opportunities and accommodate both residents and visitors.
