Las Vegas police investigate fatal shooting on Missouri Avenue

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced on Apr. 11 that detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 5700 block of Missouri Avenue.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 6:29 p.m. on April 10, where they found a male inside a vehicle that had collided with a building. The man was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

According to the department, detectives determined that three male suspects approached the victim while he was sitting in his vehicle. After a brief interaction, one of the suspects began firing at the victim. The victim attempted to flee in his car but crashed into a nearby structure. The suspects left the area before police arrived.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the LVMPD Homicide Section. Authorities stated that information regarding the identity of the deceased, as well as cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
