The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced on Apr. 15 that detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with a homicide that took place inside an apartment. James Taylor, age 40, and Prince Taylor, age 36, were identified as the suspects and taken into custody by the department’s Major Violators Section on April 14. Both men were booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon.

The case began when police responded to reports of gunfire at around 2:53 a.m. on June 25, 2025, in the 500 block of Royal Crest Circle. Officers found an apartment with a broken window and open door and observed a male victim lying on the floor inside with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives learned during their investigation that another man ran from the apartment to a vehicle shortly after the shooting occurred. The vehicle then left the area at high speed.

Authorities said information about the identity of the victim and details regarding cause and manner of death are available through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Anyone who has information related to this incident is encouraged to contact LVMPD Homicide Section by phone or email or reach out anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
