Journalist And Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Detectives To Be Recognized

Deceased journalist Jeff German and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section are scheduled to be recognized at the Jan. 4, 2022, City Council meeting at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

Councilwoman Victoria Seaman will recognize the life and career of deceased Las Vegas Review Journal journalist Jeff German. His work in Las Vegas spanned four decades including time at the Las Vegas Sun. Review Journal Executive Editor Glenn Cook is scheduled to be at the recognition on behalf of German. In addition, Councilwoman Seaman will recognize the Metro Police detectives who have been investigating German’s murder.

Also, Mayor Pro Tem Brian Knudsen will recognize Kathleen Robinson, a Clark County School District psychologist, as the January Citizen of the Month. Robinson has served the community for more than 22 years, and has mentored future psychologists.

The meeting will be broadcast live on KCLV-TV Channel 2, the city’s government access television station, and at www.kclv.tv/live.

Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. Jan. 2, at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment

Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda are invited to do so online, or to attend the meeting in person and participate in the public comment periods.
