The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Department responded to a house fire early Thursday morning Sept. 22, 2022, and discovered two bodies inside after putting out the blaze. Fire investigators have determined that the fire was accidental in nature and was related to smoking.

Firefighters arrived at the two-story home in the 7600 block of Bachelors Button Drive about 4:30 a.m. Sept. 22. The home was fully involved with flames, and when firefighters attempted to make entry into the home, the intensity of the heat and flames forced them back outside.

Shortly after arriving, the roof of the home collapsed. As crews put out hot spots and began to investigate, two bodies were found in the home, an adult male and adult female.
