Dina Titus, U.S. Representative for Nevada’s 1st district, used her social media platform on December 11, 2025, to address a series of legislative issues including tax policy on gambling losses, health care costs, and union rights for government workers.
In her first post of the day, Titus called on the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee to advance legislation addressing tax deductions for gambling losses. She stated, “Today I am urging @WaysMeansCmte Chairman @RepJasonSmith to place the FAIR BET Act on the committee calendar. Now is the time to fix the unfair 90% tax deduction for gambling losses that negatively impacts professional and casual players. See my full letter to the Chairman below.” The message was posted at 19:20 UTC.
Later in the evening, she focused on health care policy, specifically supporting bipartisan measures aimed at reducing costs. At 22:00 UTC she wrote, “I am advocating for bipartisan solutions to our health care crisis that include the extension of ACA tax credits. We must pass legislation that keeps health care costs down before Americans face premium increases in the new year.”
Shortly after, at 22:03 UTC, Titus commented on recent changes affecting public employee unions: “In March, @POTUS stripped union rights from government workers. I am a strong supporter of the Protect America’s Workforce Act to overturn this dangerous action eliminating public employee rights to collective bargaining. @AFLCIO @AFGENational”
