Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, shared updates on her recent legislative actions and community engagements through a series of posts on May 14 and 15, 2026.

On May 14, Titus announced her leadership in advancing an amendment related to veterans’ healthcare: “Today I led my colleagues in adopting my and @RepBrianMast’s amendment to allow medical marijuana recommendations @DeptVetAffairs. Our veterans should be able to discuss all their options with a doctor.” The post highlights efforts to expand the Department of Veterans Affairs’ ability to provide medical marijuana recommendations.

Later that evening, Titus commented on the importance of the arts following her attendance at a cultural event: “The world is a better place with music, art, dance, and theatre. It was a pleasure attending last night’s @cong_record celebrating America’s artistic and cultural heritage. @NVHumanities @NEHgov @NEAarts @smithsonian” The message underscores her support for artistic and cultural initiatives.

On May 15, Titus addressed developments concerning women’s health care and medication access: “A step in the right direction. As this case works its way through the courts, I will continue fighting to protect this lifesaving medication and women’s health care. #SCOTUS”

Titus has served as the representative for Nevada’s 1st District since succeeding Shelley Berkley in 2013. She previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950, she resides in Las Vegas and holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
