Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, marked the anniversary of the UNLV shooting and addressed regional energy security issues in a series of posts on December 6, 2025.
In her first post commemorating the tragic events at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Titus wrote: “On December 6th, we remember the lives impacted and lost during the tragic shooting @UNLV two years ago. Campuses should be safe spaces. #UNLVStrong https://t.co/XOGc3q6fiD” (December 6, 2025).
Later that day, Titus discussed international cooperation in energy policy following a meeting with Greek officials. She stated: “It was a pleasure to join @GreeceInUSA for lunch with Ambassador Nassika and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou to discuss mutual energy security priorities in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Titus has served as Nevada’s representative in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013. Prior to her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the Nevada Senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950 and now residing in Las Vegas, Titus is an alumna of the College of William & Mary.
