Dina Titus, U.S. Congresswoman representing Nevada’s 1st district since 2013, used her Twitter account on November 12, 2025, to outline her recent legislative actions and criticize current government funding measures.
In a post made at 18:46 UTC, Titus stated: “Last night in the House Rules Committee, I introduced several amendments to address a severely flawed government funding bill:
Reverse the unfair gaming tax deduction with my FAIR BET Act,
Prevent funding for the resumption of explosive nuclear testing with my RESTRAIN Act,” referencing two legislative proposals she has authored.
Later that evening at 19:52 UTC, Titus criticized Senate Democrats’ approach to healthcare policy in relation to government spending legislation. She wrote: “.@HouseDemocrats are denouncing the Senate’s government funding bill that does nothing to address the Republican healthcare crisis.”
Titus continued her criticism at 20:20 UTC by calling out both President Biden and House Republicans over economic issues. She posted: “.@POTUS and @HouseGOP broke their promise to lower costs. Gas is over $4 a gallon #OnlyinDistrictOne, food prices are up, and their partisan spending bill will dramatically increase healthcare costs. Many will lose their coverage as a result.”
Titus has served in Congress since replacing Shelley Berkley in 2013 and previously represented southern Nevada in the state senate from 1988 to 2008. Born in Thomasville, Georgia in 1950, she currently resides in Las Vegas and holds a BA from the College of William & Mary.
